Babypant | | | | Monday, Aug 4, 2008, 01:25:43 PM | The best part of this story is the basic idea! And the idea is borrowed from the movie Passport to Pimlico. That's why I can't give it more than a 6. |
Dia-Dia | | | | Monday, Aug 4, 2008, 01:25:49 PM | Stiff, ugly drawing with even less elegance than usual for Rosa. |
tpl | | | | Monday, Aug 4, 2008, 01:26:10 PM | Absolutely one of Rosa's best. |
squawman | | | | Monday, Oct 18, 2010, 12:25:45 AM | One of Rosa's best early stories. |

Monkey_Feyerabend | | | | Sunday, Nov 1, 2015, 06:28:39 PM | Too much to say. So let's just say: masterpiece. |
zantaf-zeiss | | | | Friday, Mar 11, 2016, 10:04:01 AM | Don Rosa: Great philologist, decent cartoonist; there is only one little problem: his stories are not funny. |
near | | | | Friday, Mar 18, 2016, 04:42:52 PM | The concept is extremely good and i liked so much the first part when the ducks have studied the story of Fort Duckburg. After this also the conflict between McDuck and IRS is been very interesting, but the idea of an invasion... mumble mumble... i think something went wrong. The story loses his starting brilliance. In particular i'm referring at the final part, when McDuck pretends to burns accidentally the deed of ownership... good sentimental end but Rosa was used to do that better, imho. However i'm talking about drivel, this is another masterpiece of Don Rosa, and that's all folks! |
lorenzo camellini | | | | Sunday, May 1, 2016, 01:08:26 PM | Meravigliosa. E' semplicemente meravigliosa: mostra Paperone secondo un'altra prospettiva fantastica e avvincente. |
Jimbo Slip | | | | Monday, Jun 6, 2016, 07:26:37 PM | Excellent drawing-room comedy. Rosa engages in a delightful play that not only mocks the rules and institutions of the nation-state, but also does so in an enclosed space (Scrooge's money-bin), thereby enhancing the comedic effect. |

Achille Talon | | | | Wednesday, Oct 26, 2016, 04:46:42 PM | The basic idea is a stroke of genius, and pulled off through a fascinating retelling of Duckburg's and Cornelius Coot's. As Don Rosa's art, it is as wonderful as ever. |
Julius Spectaculus | | | | Wednesday, Jun 27, 2018, 10:10:42 AM | Very good. 10/10 |
Sergei | | | | Saturday, May 30, 2020, 05:58:52 PM | Toll! Die Zeichnungen sind super und die Geschichte natürlich auch :-). Ich liebe es einfach, wenn man in die Vergangenheit Entenhausens eintaucht! 10/10 |

RobinHoodlum | | | | Thursday, Feb 3, 2022, 07:16:38 AM | One of Rosa’s most brilliant stories. The plot is simple, but in this case that’s an asset, since it’s very clever and original. In short, it’s a blast reading this masterpiece! 10/10 |
