Visibile anche l'influenza sullo stile di Rodolfo Cimino, che manterrà elementi come i malori di Paperone legati alla ricchezza (ma rendendoloi più metafisici) e la ricerca di cure in luoghi leggendari e perduti.
Il personaggio del medico generico, che rivela provvidenzialmente leggende mai udite è parecchio improbabile ma strumentale. |

Un luogo fantastico (spettacolare l'immagine dell'areoplano che scende nella valle), la ricerca della tranquillità e della vera essenza della vita che non sta nel possedere le cose, ma nel godere della semplicità delle stesse.
La corruzione che pervade i cuori semplici fino a fagli perdere il senno per colpa di un inutile pezzo di metallo (che spettacolare allegoria! Dopo tutto anche le monete non sono forse semplici oggetti di metallo??).
E poi un Paperone muratore è una di quelle scene che non si vedono tutti i giorrni.

Difetti? Forse l’epilogo avrebbe potuto essere un tantino più articolato, ma si tratta di voler cercare il proverbiale pelo nell’uovo in una storia praticamente perfetta, anche dal punto di vista grafico: i personaggi sono ottimamente dipinti e le ambientazioni tra i monti dell’Himalaya sono a dir poco magnifiche. |
